Biographie
Agnès Buzyn is Professor of Hematology at the Paris-Sorbonne University in Paris and was the Director of a research team on tumor immunology at the National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM).
From 2008 to 2013, she served as Chair of the Executive Board of the Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety Institute (IRSN). From 2011 to 2016, she was the executive President of the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). In 2016, she was appointed Chairman of the French National Authority for Health (HAS – Haute Autorité de santé). She served as the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health from May 2017 to February 2020.
After standing for the mayor of Paris election in 2020, she joined WHO in January 2021 as an Assistant Director General, serving as the DG’s envoy for multilateral affairs.
She was named Advisor in the French Court of Auditors in 2022.
