Description

People’s right to have a say – Is it a virtue or a curse? It might be a curse if the information required to make a reasoned argument is not available! The right to information bridges the information gap between the state and citizens. It amplifies citizens’ voice and pushes the State’s unmute button. Facilitated by digital means, it increases outreach and legitimacy. This panel discusses how SDG 16.10.2 facilitates constructive state-citizen dialogue and expands both sides’ scope of action.
