Description

Corruption entails a lack of transparency, human rights violations, and inequality. As such, fighting this crime is a priority on the international agenda. However, corruption cannot be defeated through institutional action alone. Effective access to information is one way of guaranteeing that citizens uphold their rights, as is the use of innovative approaches and digital tools to facilitate accountability, transparency, and the prevention of corruption in supply chains. How can both approaches be combined to give citizens a central role in the fight against corruption?
