Description

The Black Lives Matter Movement responded to the discrimination and violence targeted at communities of color. Systemic injustices and racial discrimination, long-entrenched in our societies, have also caused higher COVID-19 mortality rates in Black and other marginalized communities. Existing and worsening economic hardship will exacerbate this heavy toll on the most vulnerable. This panel will discuss how COVID-19 recovery must have racial and economic justice at its core. It will examine new solutions to ensure the rights of Black and other communities of color are at the heart of an equitable recovery.
