The Paris Peace Forum is a multi-stakeholder platform launched in 2018 that aims to respond to global challenges through, in particular, a large-scale annual event. Throughout the year, the Forum works to strengthen the governance of global commons such as climate, space or oceans, and to improve international management of global challenges, particularly those of digital and disruptive technologies. Its annual event, in November, brings together heads of state, government and international organizations, as well as leaders of civil society and the private sector, to discuss political initiatives and concrete projects, with an emphasis on the participation of the global South.

The team of the Permanent Secretariat of the association, composed of varied and diverse profiles (diplomacy, public relations, communication, programming, operations, etc.), is currently looking for 2 event assistants to reinforce its teams.

The person recruited will be responsible for the following tasks:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

In preparation for the 7th Paris Peace Forum, which will take place on November 11, 2024, you will be assisting members of the Operations team, depending on your profile and experience, on the overall management of the event:

  • supporting the annual event’s production and logistics;
  • supporting the operational aspects of the program (liaising on the programming tool and tracking the technical requirements of the event locations);
  • monitoring the scenography and production of signage;
  • supporting the accreditations management (management of the invitation and registration system) and
  • monitoring and supporting communications: realization of presentation documents and assessment of the operations carried out, writing of meeting reports and minutes.

 

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree;
  • previous participation in international events is appreciated;
  • proficiency in English and French, both written and oral (C2 level or equivalent required) and
  • mastery of office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and digital tools.

 

SKILLS & QUALITIES REQUIRED

  • Strong writing skills in both French and English;
  • solid understanding of the constraints and issues related to the organization of events, with an appetite for international events;
  • interest in digital tools applied to event management and
  • curious and creative, but also rigorous, and with a capacity to adapt quickly.

 

CONDITIONS 

Full-time internship, fixed-term contract for a period of 2 to 6 months, starting early September 2024.

Internship agreement required.

Bonus: 750€ gross per month, 50% reimbursement of: luncheon vouchers and transport pass.

The offices of the permanent secretariat of the Paris Peace Forum are located in Paris (15th arrondissement).
