Project presentation
This project is crucial for indigenous and ethnic minority (IEM) communities to have better access to the data and information for exercising their rights to self-determination and self-governance.
Storytelling with data enables communities to protect their collective interests and to engage in decision-making processes while raising public awareness.
This project aims to expand the initiative to engage existing and new networks to enable the collection of data into a centralized repository for the region and to boost data literacy skills.
ODC works with key indigenous peoples’ CSOs to upload resources on IEM to ODC’s platform and conduct a workshop and a seminar on data collection and digitization, and Indigenous Data Sovereignty. After attending the sessions, participants will understand the importance of data and contribute with the ones related to their communities.

Organization presentation
Open Development Cambodia (ODC) is an “open data” website, the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. ODC provides the public with up-to-date, accurate information about Cambodia and its economic and social development. Its open data approach guarantees materials and information are available to all users for use and download. ODC hopes that the site and the data will facilitate research and communication between the public, private companies, civil society, and governments.Follow the project leader on social media:

I decided to share data with ODC because data on the issues and needs of indigenous people is crucial to disseminate to the outside world.
