Project presentation
Russia’s aggression against Ukraine caused global consequences. Women, Peace, Security agenda, outlined in UN Security Council’s resolutions and including such main pillars as Participation, Protection, Prevention, and Relief and Recovery, became even more topical. However, despite progress with involvement of women to politics and decision-making in Ukraine, women remain excluded from recovery decision-making. The action is aimed at empowering women of Ukraine to participate in peacebuilding and recovery decision-making at local and national level. It will upscale positive experience of capacity-building of women’s rights organizations as members of local multi-stakeholder coalitions, that include police, military, local authorities, educators, veterans and media that bring women’s voice to national level to influence national policy, with European best-practice integrated.
