Ransomware attacks have increased so dramatically that they have now become one of the top online threats. Designed to prevent access to a computer system by encrypting data until a ransom is paid, ransomware attacks generate disastrous economic and human consequences across the world - in particular when targeting critical infrastructures. While public-private partnerships are frequently cited as a key component in the fight against ransomware, differences of opinion remain among stakeholders on the existing gaps for the success of such cooperation. This roundtable will aim to confront the views of public authorities with those of the stakeholder community in order to build a path towards more efficient partnerships on a global scale.
