Absorbing the Covid shock: Mitigating the socio-economic impact of the pandemic

Thursday 11 november 2021 15:00 - 15:45
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is unprecedented, with the official death toll exceeding 4.5 million. Far more than a health crisis, it has disrupted lives, livelihoods, communities, and businesses worldwide, worsening inequalities. The magnitude of this crisis triggered a collective response addressing the most pressing issues, but numerous challenges remain. High-level speakers will share their organization's strategies and concrete solutions to mitigate the disastrous socio-economic effects of the pandemic, particularly in underserved areas. They will also explore innovative approaches to strengthen global cooperation mechanisms and joint international efforts to respond to the multiple shocks caused by Covid-19.
