Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill has served as the UN Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology since June 2022, leading strategic initiatives and coordinating technology efforts across the UN. He is also a member of the Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Body on AI and Scientific Advisory Board. Previously, Mr. Gill was Executive Director of the UN’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation (2018-2019) and India’s Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament (2016-2018). He holds a PhD from King’s College London and degrees from Panjab University and Geneva University. An author of two books, he was named one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people in AI in 2024. Fluent in English, French, Hindi, and Punjabi, Mr. Gill brings deep expertise and a global outlook to his role.
