Annette Mummert holds a PhD in Economics and has extensive experience in international development cooperation, especially in the area Good Financial Governance and Labour Market and Employment Policies. She started her professional career as a research associate of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nürnberg, followed by consultancies with a focus on advisory support to development cooperation in the above-mentioned fields. In 2014 Annette Mummert joined GIZ as Senior Planning Officer for Accountability in the Sectoral Department. After several years in the Africa Department abroad in Tanzania as Head of project and in Eschborn leading a group of regionale projects, she returned to the Sectoral Department of GIZ, where she has been Director of the Governance and Conflict Division since July 2023.
