Zhou Jinfeng, who received his PhD from Peking University and Purdue University, is currently Vice President and Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, Vice President of the World Green Design Organization, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Club of Rome. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of IUCN Marine Connectivity Working Group and a member of the Expert Group of Global Pact for the Environment. He was a member of the 9th, 10th, and 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was the first initiator of the “Guangcai Programme”(1994), awarded the “Second National Innovation Prize”in 2020,“Cavaliere, Ordine della Stella d'Italia”by Italy President in 2021, and the Person of the Year by China Newsweek in 2021; And in 2023, he was honored as a member of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS). He has long been committed to the theoretical research and practice of sustainable development, promoting Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood (BCON).
