With over a decade of experience in the peacebuilding sector, Irena is an international expert, researcher, and practitioner specializing in inclusive peace and mediation processes, currently at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue. Originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina, she was based in Myanmar between 2015-2021 and contributed to interethnic peacebuilding and Myanmar’s peace process as Head of Programs for Search for Common Ground. Irena holds a Masters in International Relations and Conflict Management from John Hopkins University, and a Masters in Advanced Studies on Mediation in Peace Processes with Centre for Security Studies in Zurich.
